Richard Doering

      Richard Doering passed away on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at the age of 84 in Port Arthur, Texas. Born on April 25, 1940, in Germany, Richard built a life characterized by his faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, hard work, and a deep commitment to his family.

      After an illustrious career with The Boeing Company, from which he retired, Richard was known for his expertise and his unwavering dedication to excellence in engineering. His contributions to the field have left a lasting impact on both his colleagues and the industry.

      Richard actively enjoyed nature and the outdoors throughout his life, embracing pursuits such as camping, hiking, mountain climbing, gardening, hunting, and saltwater fishing. 

      Richard is survived by his loving wife of sixty-two years, Dina Doering, of Wichita, Kansas. Their enduring partnership was a testament to their shared love and support for one another. Richard's legacy continues through his daughters, Carmen Michele Doering and Lynette Doering Jackson, who carry forward the values and kindness instilled in them by their father. His grandchildren, Magenta Williams, Bronze Jackson, Sienna Jackson Matthys, and Indigo Jackson, along with two great-grandchildren, were a source of tremendous pride and joy for Richard, as he cherished every moment spent with them.

      Richard was preceded in death by his mother and stepfather, Agate (Kopf) and Daniel Doering; his father, Rheinhold Krause; brother, Ferdinand Doering; sisters, Erika Zahn and Irene Von Der Stuck. Their memories will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved him.

      As a husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Richard Doering touched the lives of many. His indomitable spirit, generous heart, and love for those around him will be remembered and cherished by all who were fortunate enough to know him.

     A Celebration of Richard’s Life will be held at a later date in Wichita, Kansas. Cremation services are under the direction of Melancon Levingston Funeral Home in Groves.

He was a great guy helping me build his house back in the 70s always knew what he was doing. Thankful to know him and of course his wife. So sorry for the suffering he endure
