Richard Francis Foret, 75, of Groves, Texas passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2012. Richard was born November 26, 1936 in Port Arthur, Texas to Joseph Paul Foret and Bertha Guidry Foret. He was a lifelong area resident and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was retired from St. Mary Hospital as a LVN after 20 years of service. He was the Choir Director at St. Joseph Catholic Church, member of Interfaith Choir of Beaumont, and sang with Beaumont Civic Opera. Richard was preceded in death by his wife, Mercedes Foret; two brothers, Joseph Paul Foret, Jr. and Robert L. Foret, Sr. Survivors include his daughter, Charlene O'Quinn of Groves; sisters, Barbara Welch of Groves, Teresa Tuohy of Groves, Linda Baxter and husband, James of Warren, Janice Foret of Groves; brothers, James Foret and wife, Nita of Groves, Howard Foret "Unkey" and wife, Linda of Toledo Bend; sister-in-law, Gladys Foret of Groves; ten nephews and one niece. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 28, 2012 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Port Arthur with Reverend D. Stephen McCrate officiating. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday evening from 4:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. with a Rosary recited at 6:00 p.m. at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves.
