Richard James "Dick" Freyou 89, of Port Neches, Texas passed away August 14th, 2020 Richard was born September 14th, 1930 to Millard and Marie (Daigle) Freyou. He was a long time resident of Port Neches, served in the Coast Guard, later worked at Texas U.S. Rubber Company and then was the Owner of American Paneling, Plywood and Lumber. He was a big fan of PNG and LSU football, loved to brag, enjoyed handicapping horse races, as well as hunting and fishing. He was an excellent back seat driver telling anyone driving him to "slow down, there are cops everywhere".
A private funeral service was held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, August 17, 2020 at Levingston Funeral Home in Port Neches. Burial was at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches.
Richard is survived by his three daughters, Renee Cummins and husband David, Denise Smith and husband John, Sherri Hunt and husband Greg, his Son Beau Freyou, and his former wife of 42 years Janet Elaine Freyou. Six Grandchildren Ross Guidry, Reid Guidry, Grant Teaney, Ben Teaney, Hayden Hunt and Grace Hunt. Two Great grandchildren Hayes Guidry and Andy Guidry.
