Richard "Rick" Marriott, Jr., 57, of Lumberton, Texas passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at St. Luke's Hospital of The Woodlands. Rick was born November 15, 1959 in Sidney, New York to Richard Eugene Marriott, Sr. and Betty Shaver Marriott. He was a resident of Lumberton, Texas for nine years and a former resident of Port Neches, Texas. He was a Fabricator with Southeast Texas Industry. A visitation for family and friends will begin at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 18, 2017 at Landmark United Pentecostal Church in Port Neches followed by the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend James Lee officiating and Reverend Tim Szumanski assisting under the direction of Levingston Funeral Home Port Neches. Rick was preceded in death by his uncle, George Shaver; aunts, Dorothy Barnes, Beverly Steele, and Alice Aldrich. Surviving relatives include his sister, Gene Marriott-Emfinger and her husband David of Montgomery, Texas; nephew, Colton Anderson, niece, Alyssa Anderson, step-niece and nephews, Ashley Emfinger, Levi Emfinger and Byran Stutes; aunts, Mary Shaver, Carol Newell and her husband Homer, Sara Lowe and her husband Paul, Sandra Schleier and her husband Edward, Lois McCarthy, uncle, Russell Shaver. The Marriott family is grateful to his STI family and for the care from all the doctors and nurses of St. Luke's Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Marriott Foundation.
