Richard Edward Ryley, Jr., 78, of Beaumont, passed away on Saturday, December 2, 2017 in Beaumont. Richard was born on January 31, 1939 in Beaumont to the late Richard Edward Ryley, Sr. and May Love Jones Ryley. He was a Radio Engineer in the communication industry for a number of years, where he started at KVLU Lamar University. He was a lifelong resident in the area.

Those left to cherish his memories are his daughter, Felicite` Ryley of Beaumont; son, Richard Alton Ryley and wife, Michelle of Kemah, TX; nieces, Renee Ellis and Linda Moody of Canyon Lake. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Patricia Ann Steele Ryley and sister, Ginger Powers.

There will be a gathering of family and friends on Saturday, December 9, 2017 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. to celebrate his life with The Most Reverend Father, Elic Brookshire Llewellyn officiating.

A brilliant engineer and a funny man; one who never finished enjoying the fellowship of our short-lived SBE Chapter and its meetings. He will be fondly remembered by so many of us in the broadcast industry.
