Richard A. Schultz, Sr., 86, of Port Neches, Texas passed away Thursday, December 24, 2020 at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas. Richard was born January 25, 1934 in St. Louis, Missouri to the late Albert and Mildred Schultz. He was affectionately known to his great grandchildren as Paw Paw Santa Claus. Richard retired from Ameripol Synpol Corporation as a machinist. He loved fishing, shrimping and raising quail. Richard enjoyed riding dirt bikes and camping. He was a hard worker; a great mechanic and his favorite past time was tinkering around the house.
Richard is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Doris Jones and Robert Schultz; and a grandchild, Richard “Rickey” Schultz, III.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 66 years, Carldine Schultz of Port Neches, TX; children, Diana Lynn Schultz Smoke and her husband, James; Marie Ann Schultz Sheffield and her husband, Tim; Richard A. Schultz, Jr., and his wife, Danette; siblings, Dorothy June Dwiggins and Ralph Schultz and his wife, Loy; grandchildren, Richard Foreman, Jr., Charlie Marie Trahan, Lucas Carpenter, Scot Sheffield, Ryan Sheffield, Eric Sheffield, and Kayla Schultz; and numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Due to Coronavirus-19 the family request to have a private visitation for Mr. Schultz.
