What? I have been trying to get in touch, and decided to google him. I am beside myself with sadness. Rick was one of my closest friends since Jr. High. I loved him. He was one of the most unique and intelligent people I ever met. I just had a text conversation with him not that long ago. This is a major loss for me. I cannot fully express my sadness with words.

Sorry to hear about Rick. I've known him since the 6th grade in Mrs. Russell's class. The first time I ever heard Jimi Hendrix, Are You Experienced album was when he brought it to school and our teacher played it for us. Kept up with him at Sunrise. Sail on brother!

I'm sorry to hear this news. I remember Rick from when I was just a kid looking for KISS records at Sunrise in the early 90s. By the late 90s, I was working with him at Sunrise! I have such good memories of those times. Because of him, I learned that there was a lot more to music than just KISS. He really was one of a kind! The last time I saw him was when I visited Beaumont in 2013, I bought KISS CD and he looked at me with a smile and said "You still listening to that crap!" LOL I hope you are having a eternal free form jam session in heaven my friend! RIP

Always a great conversation, smart guy. He often told me "He was only there for the Music" I assumed at Sunrise but know he meant on Earth. RIP

We were very sorry to hear of Rick's passing. He was a member of Thick and Muddy, the blues band he and my son Evaristo started years ago. Rick was always silly and goofy. A child at heart and loved anything music. I often saw him around town riding his trusty bicycle. He had a great singing voice. He will be missed. Our condolences to Felicity, Sundance and the rest of the family.
