Ricky Lamar Thompson, Sr. Ricky Lamar Thompson, Sr., 59, of Groves, died Thursday, July 19, 2012 at his home. He was born on March 19, 1953 in Port Arthur, Texas to Earnest Lamar Thompson and Hazel Moffette Thompson. Ricky was a lifelong resident of Groves and member of Triumph Church in Nederland. He was a courier with Fed Ex. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m., Friday, July 27, 2012 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves with visitation to follow until 9:00 p.m. Ricky is survived by his daughter, Melissa Stansbury and husband, Mike of Groves, son, Ricky Thompson, Jr. and wife, Randi of Orange, Tx.and former wife Judy Thompson of Groves, two sisters, Linda Norris and husband, Harold of Winnie, and Dianne Mayer of Kaufman, Tx., brother, James Thompson of Port Arthur, Tx., and four grandchildren, Alex Stansbury, Cameron Stansbury, Layla Stansbury, and Rylan Thompson and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
