Rita Marie Comeaux, 83, of Port Neches, Texas passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at Harbor Hospice House in Beaumont, Texas. She was born in Port Neches, Texas on April 17, 1930 to the late Leanord and Ermine Tebedeaux Quebedeaux. Rita was the custodian at the Port Neches Schools and a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Port Neches on Friday, July 12, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Bennie Patillo celebrant. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches. A gathering of family and friends will be held at Melancon’s Funeral Home on Thursday, July 11th from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a rosary being recited at 6:30 p.m.

Rita is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Remy Joseph Comeaux, Jr.; son, Benny Comeaux; grandsons, Randy Comeaux and Michael Keneson; and several brothers and sisters. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Williams of Port Arthur; son, Jerry W. Comeaux and wife, Kim of Port Neches; 8 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchild; 1 great-great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.
