Rita Shuff Guillot

Rita Shuff Guillot, 83, of Port Arthur passed away Saturday, May 16, 2020 at Magnolia Manor in Groves, Texas. She was born December 5, 1936 in Plaucheville, Louisiana to Lawrence Shuff and Florence Dupuy Shuff. Rita was a faithful member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Groves. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, reading and cooking and was known for keeping a spotless home. Rita loved her family and took pride in raising her three girls and adored her grandkids. A visitation for family will begin at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 20, 2020 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves with funeral services to follow at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend J. C. Coon officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family requests that due to the circumstances of Covid 19, only immediate family members attend the visitation and services. Rita was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Florence Shuff, daughter, Renee Bierbaum, granddaughter, Nicole Crittendon and siblings Eva Dupuy, Theresa Shuff, Nelson Shuff and Murray Shuff. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Kermit J. Guillot of Port Arthur, TX; two daughters, Rhonda Geoffroy and husband Gary of Port Neches, TX and Becky Gardner and husband Brent of Placitas, NM, sister, Shirley Soileau and husband Warren of Bogue Chitto, MS, brothers, Curry Shuff and wife Dottie of Bridge City, TX and Wilman Shuff and wife Georgia of Nederland, TX, four grandchildren, Crissy Kicak, Daniel Guarnere, Jennifer Bierbaum and Matt LeBlanc and seven great grandchildren. The family would like to thank her caregiver, Robyn Rawls, Magnolia Manor and Heart to Heart Hospice for their special care.
