Rita Provost Tiblier, 88, of Humble passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2020. Rita was born January 14, 1932 in Orange to the late Robert Joseph Provost and Lelia Blanchard Provost. She was a homemaker in her home and enjoyed taking care of her family. She was also a member of St. James Catholic Church in Port Arthur.

A Rosary will be recited at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday evening, July 5, 2020 at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland with a gathering of the family and friends to follow from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, July 6, 2020 at St. James Catholic Church in Port Arthur with Father Jim McClintock officiating with interment to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Melancon’s Funeral Home.

Rita is survived by her sons, George R. Tiblier of Humble, Timothy N. Tiblier of Humble, and Thomas W. Tiblier also of Humble; her daughter, Carolyn Wyatt of Frisco; her grandchildren, Dana, Jimmy, Heather, Jeanne, Christopher, Jillian, Rachael, Tommy and Jean-Paul; her great grandchildren, Skylar, Haylie, Shelby, Kasey, Andrew and Cole; and her great-great grandchildren, Carder, Leonard, Kennedy, Amya and Jeffrey. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Julian George Tiblier; her son, Robert J. Tiblier; her granddaughter, Noel Dawn Tiblier; her brothers, Benny Provost and Robert “Sugar” Provost Jr.; and her sisters, Therese McClintock, Barbara Stansbury and Fay Rawson.
