Robbie Lee Abshere, 81, of Port Neches, Texas died Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at her residence. Robbie was born September 2, 1932 in Kountze, Texas to Fredrick Cody Kimmey and Laura Lee Nicar Kimmey. She was a homemaker and a lifelong resident of this area. Robbie was a member of First United Methodist Church in Port Neches, United Methodist Women, and Fidelis Sunday School Class. She also served as Past Matron of Port Neches Eastern Star # 677. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 12, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Levingston Funeral Home in Port Neches with Dr. Wesley Welborn officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Visitation for family and friends will be held Friday, April 11, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Surviving relatives include her husband, Norman C. Abshere of Port Neches, Texas; daughter, Laura Kaye Porter of Dayton, Texas; son, Norman Lee Abshere and wife Darla of Port Neches, Texas; sister, Charlotte Riggs and husband Billy of Atascocita, Texas; brother, H.C. Kimmey and wife Mary Ann of Navasota, Texas; 7 grandchildren, Norman Lee Abshere, Jr. and wife Donna, Christina Abshere, Laura Porter, Kristi Satchwell and husband J.D., Jessie Porter, Jody Coburn and wife Megan, Cody Coburn and wife Val and numerous great-grandchildren.
