Robbie Jo Medley, 92, of Nederland, Texas passed away on Friday, June 9, 2023, at Cascades Nursing Home in Port Arthur, Texas.

Robbie was born on August 15, 1930 in Provo, Arkansas to Effie Crow Mattingly and Roy Mattingly. She was a member of Church of God in Port Arthur and was a retired beautician who worked for various shops for over thirty-five years. Robbie had lived in the Nederland area since 1950. She loved to cook, paint, sing and travel. Robbie was a devout Christian who loved her family dearly. She was sweet and kind hearted and loved everyone who was a part of her family, friends, co-workers and church members. She will be dearly missed.

Survivors include her sons, Bobby Brack and his wife Alene of Nederland and Monty Brack of San Antonio; brothers, Ed Mattingly and his wife Doris of Portland, Oregon and Dale Mattingly and his wife Jan of West Monroe, Louisiana; grandchildren, Jason Brack and his wife Maygon and their children, Conner and Caden Brack; Fabian Brack and his wife Shelly and their children, Tyler and Preston Brack; Cody and Tessa Brack and their children, Vivian and Evelyn Brack; Seth Brack and his wife Morgan and their children, Jayde, Jude and Baby Brack who is due in December; many nieces and nephews.

Robbie was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Effie Mattingly and her brother, Vaughn Mattingly; sisters, Flossie Helms, LoRene Zachry and Violet Mattingly who passed away when she was only five years old.

A gathering of family and friends will take place from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at Melancon Funeral Home in Nederland, Texas. A Funeral Service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at Melancon Funeral Home. Burial will take place at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Sycamore Cemetery in Burkeville, Texas under the direction of Melancon Funeral Home in Nederland.
