Robert Bob Louis Beeson, 86, of Port Neches passed away February 28, 2013 at his home. He was born in Port Arthur, Texas on June 22, 1926 to the late Edgar and Anita Hill Beeson. He worked for Texaco Oil Refinery for 33 years where he was a supervisor. Bob served his country proudly in the U. S. Navy for 8 years and then for the Navy Reserves for 21 years. Funeral services will be held at Melancons Funeral Home in Nederland on Monday, March 4, 2013 at 10:00 a.m., Rev. Patrick Hunter officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Sunday, March 3, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.Bob is preceded in death by his parents son, Jeffrey Wynn Beeson 2 sisters, Mary Rena James and Bertie Mae Ragan and 3 brothers, Edgar Beeson, Jr., Jerry Beeson, and Ralph Beeson. He is survived by his wife, Ruth Leeper Beeson of Port Neches daughter, Marilyn Brown and husband, Dub of Nederland daughterinlaw, Jana of Nederland grandchildren, Matt Brown and wife, Brooke of Katy, Drew Brown of Nederland, and Jacey Laine Beeson of Belton greatgrandchildren, Paige, Pierce, and Emery Brown of Katy sister, Wanda Mills of Atlanta, Georgia and numerous nieces and nephews.The family would like the thank Odyssey Hospice, especially April, Chanelle, Kathy and James.Memorials may be given to the Willing Workers Mission Fund at Hillcrest Baptist Church in Nederland or to donors choice.
