Robert Paul “Bob” Dunlap, 80, of Groves, Texas passed away Wednesday, April 8, 2015. Bob was born October 30, 1934 in Franklin, Pennsylvania to Frank Frederick Dunlap and Mildred Bennett Dunlap. He was a lifelong Groves resident and retired from refrigeration service.

Survivors include his wife, Judy Dunlap of Groves; daughters, Debbie Wales Landry of Groves, Carol Jansky (Michael Kelly) of Freeport, Crystal Haymon of Deweyville, Angie Haymon Theriot (Ricky) of Vidor, Brittani Wayman of Groves, Caitlin Wayman of Groves; son Robert Paul Dunlap, Jr. (Lisa) of Groves; grandchildren Jeremy Keys (Cristy), Stephanie Gay (Terry), Valerie Jansky, Hannah Leigh Dunlap, Robert Paul Dunlap, III, Dakota Dickman, Kara Theriot, and Keri Theriot; great-granddaughter, Avalynn Gay.

A gathering of the family and friends will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2015 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland.

My Deepest condolences to Judy his wife,and all his children. This man was my neighbor for 15 yrs. Wonderful man. Before he became ill he would say if you need anything now you let me know :blush: and he didn't mind getting on to me about some of those bad habits that I Had!!! He also didn't like cats. But my Alex's spent a few nights at there house at the foot of the bed!! I never told him just how much it was nice to be his neighbor. I will miss seeing him piddling around outside. RWG:heart:

It's hard to believe Daddy is gone . It seems just like yesterday him telling me get in that back yard and practice that pitching you have a game tomorrow or be nice to your sister and then the one thing I hate to wear was shoes and socks He would say put your shoes on Crystal Renee.We tSke for granted our parents will always be there and even though he was my step dad he raised me since I was 5 yrs old takes a real man to raise someone else's kids as his own He is all I know and yet the best father anyone could ask for I Love you Daddy till we meet again
