Robert Lee Foret Robert Lee Foret, 77, of Groves died Thursday, May 19, 2011 at Magnolia Manor. He was born on September 28, 1933 in Groves, Texas to Joseph Paul Foret, Sr. and Bertha Guidry Foret. He was a lifelong resident of Groves and member of St. Peter's Catholic Church and Port Arthur VFW Post #797. He was retired from the City of Groves as Sanitation Supervisor after 35 years of service. Robert was an U.S. Army veteran serving during the Korean Conflict with the 25th Infantry Division. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 21, 2011 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Groves with Monsignor Kenneth Greig officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. A visitation for family and friends will be Friday evening from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 6:00 p.m. at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Paul Foret, Sr. and Bertha Foret, and brother, Joseph Paul Foret, Jr. Robert is survived by his wife of 47 years, Gladys R. Foret of Groves, son, Robert Lee Foret, Jr. and wife, Mary of Groves, four sisters, Teresa Tuohy , Janice Foret , Barbara A. Welch all of Groves and Linda Baxter of Warren, three brothers, James Foret , Richard Foret both of Groves, and Howard "Unkey" Foret of Toledo Bend.
