In loving memory of Robert Fruge, I remember a man who exemplified strength, humility, and unwavering faith. Robert was more than a law enforcement officer; he was a man of integrity, carrying himself with an upright character that reflected his commitment to God and HIS principles. Those who worked alongside him knew him as someone who led by example, even when no one else was watching. He fulfilled his calling with humility and respect, ensuring that each citizen he served saw a reflection of honor, truth and justice. Robert held his priorities with a clear and inspiring conviction: God first, family second, and work third. He devoted himself to his family with boundless love and dedication, always speaking Bible truth and standing firm in his values. In the Groves community, his impact is remembered not just in his actions but in the lasting effects of his kindness, his integrity, and his ever-present support for his fellow officers. For those of us privileged to have shared in his journey, Robert’s memory serves as a powerful reminder of what it means to live a life rooted in faith and purpose. May we all carry forward his legacy of service, love, and unwavering faith, honoring the example he left for us. Robert followed the Lord, and expressed it often. Robert always knew his home was in heaven.

Bubba was my best friend. We grew up on the end N. Tram and Vista Ln. in Vidor. You would be hard pressed to not find us together every day. We hunted, fished, camped - just everything together. One time me, Momma (Anna) and Bubba went to Baton Rouge. That was the day he became an adopted 1/2 - Cajun of the family. We listened to music like Foreigner - Headknocker to John Conlee - Rose Colored Glasses. He even wore a pair of Rose colored glasses on the trip. We talked about these days coming in our life like this. We have lost some special people along the way. I can tell you that Bubba is secure in the Lord. The bond between us will never be broken through earth or heaven. Love you Brother - Mike

A real man loves his wife, and places his family as the most important thing in life. This quote describes Robert Fruge perfectly. Whether he was in front of his family or away from them. His happiness and success in life came from simply being a great husband and father.
