Robert Arnold Lee, 89, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away Thursday, January 30, 2020 at Jefferson Nursing and Rehab Center in Beaumont, Texas. Robert was born September 3, 1930 in Port Arthur, Texas to Maurice Joseph Lee and Kitty King Lee. He was a lifelong Port Arthur resident and member of Salvation Army Church in Port Arthur. Robert retired from Texaco as a lab technician after 47 years of service, and was a member of Port Neches VFW. Robert proudly served in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, C B. Walker; and first wife, Charlene Whitehead Lee. Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Juanita Benoit Lee of Port Arthur; daughters, Belinda Root and husband Miles of Houston, Tessy Cryer and husband Greg of Kountze, and Tina Benoit of Groves; sons, Darrell Lee and wife Yami of Houston, and Rusty Benoit of Groves; sisters, Vada Thomas of Branson, MO, and Joan Boykin of Sulphur, LA; grandchildren, Jamie Lee, Jason Root, Ryan Lee, Jesse Benoit, Jake Benoit, Ashley McIntire, Morgan Lee, Lacey Simon, Mindy Hickman; great-grandchildren, Owen McIntire, Sophia "Pia" Simon, Sadie Simon, and Carter Hickman. A visitation for family and friends will begin at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, February 4, 2020 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves followed by the funeral service at 2:30 p.m.

I worked with Bobby for several years at the Texaco Lab in Port Neches. He was a fine young man and a good worker. May his family have a trust in Jesus that we all meet in Heaven

Mr. Lee you was an amazing man. You used to sing to me every morning and that helped me threw some bad days. You was a blessing and a beautiful soul to so many, you will be truly missed. I will forever remember the stories you told me of your life and i am forever grateful of meeting a wonderful man like yourself. Mrs. Lee you will forever be in my Prayers and thank you all for letting me be apart of y'all lives. Mr. Lee you will forever be in my heart you was a ball of fun to be around every day
