Robert Leamon Marze

Robert Leamon Marze, 78, of Groves died Saturday August 20, 2011 at his residence. Robert was born on November 10, 1932 in Toro, Louisiana to Andrew and Lola Marze. He was a resident of Groves for 58 years and a member of Abundant Life Sanctuary in Groves. Robert was a retired Operator from Texaco with 40 years of service and a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in Korea. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday August 23, 2011 at 10:00 am at Abundant Life Sanctuary in Groves with Reverend David Myer and Reverend Jason Myer officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Bridge City. A visitation for family and friends will be held Monday August 22, 2011 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves. Robert is survived by his wife Doris Freeman Marze of Groves; three daughters Freida James of Euless, Texas, Ginger Marze of Cypress, Texas and LaDana Kiffe and husband Grant of Groves; two sisters Laverne Creager and husband Alton of Leesville, Louisiana and Leola Prewitt and husband Lee of Port Neches; three grandchildren Nicole Stevens of Garland, Texas, Grant Kiffe II of Austin, Texas, Carsen Wilemon of Cypress, Texas; and two great grandchildren Noah and Caleb Stevens.
