Robert “Bob” Palmore, 91, of Port Neches, Texas passed away on Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at his residence. Bob was born in Lufkin, Texas on December 26, 1930 to the late, Robert Oris Palmore and Viola Vee Smith Palmore.
Bob loved to travel, fish, and hunt. His kids and grandkids were the apple of his eye. He served in the United States Navy from 1950-1954. He was married for over 67 years to Alma Nell Palmore. Bob was a faithful Christian, joining Ridgewood Baptist Church as a Deacon, Sunday School Teacher and was involved in building the church. He joined Faith Baptist Temple in 2020. He enjoyed listening to Brother Mark Humble play piano and he especially loved listening to his sermons.
Those left to cherish Bob’s memory include his loving wife of 67 years, Alma Palmore of Port Neches; daughters, Dedrea Garcia of Port Neches, Amy LeBouef and her husband, Troy of Port Neches; sister, Barbara Clark of Lufkin; grandchildren, Cory Garcia, Lindsay Garcia, Meagan Garcia, Lexie LeBouef and Alec LeBouef; great-grandchildren, Brayden Garcia and Knox Wilson.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Oris Palmore and Viola Vee Smith Palmore, bother, Don Palmore; sisters, Murlene Brown, Bennie Neal and Ida Vee Red.
The family would like to thank Sheena Guillory for being a faithful home health provider.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at Faith Baptist Temple located at 114 4th Avenue in Nederland (Central Gardens) on Friday, July 22, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. The funeral services begin at 12:00 p.m. with Brother Mark Humble, officiant.
Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches.
