Robert quotPatquot McElvain, 95, of Woodville, Texas formerly of Port Neches, passed away February 15, 2012 at the Woodville Health and Rehab. He was born March 28, 1916 in Dothan, Alabama to the late Robert E. Lee and Margaret Josephine Watford McElvain. He moved to Port Neches in 1938. He served his country proudly in the U. S. Army during World War II.A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 18, 2012 at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches. A gathering of family and friends will be held at Melancon39s Funeral Home, 1605 Avenue H in Nederland from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, February 17, 2012.Robert is preceded in death by his parents wife, Rena M. Lisenby McElvain and daughter, Debra D. McElvain. He is survived by 2 daughters, Evelyn Sponsler of Cedar Park and Janice Yeates and husband, Travis of Port Neches 3 sons, Robert quotBoquot McElvain and wife, Barbara of Spurger, Claude McElvain and wife, Virginia of Sugarland, and Dale McElvain of Conroe and numerous grandchildren, greatgrandchildren, and greatgreatgrandchildren.
