Robyna Robin Prescott, 86, of Groves, Texas, passed away on Monday, July 8, 2019, surrounded by loved ones after a battle with cancer and other health complications. She was born in Weatherford, Texas on January 10, 1933 to Harriet Alma (Timbes) Robin and Capt. Robin Peter Robin. Robyna married James Edward Prescott, Jr. on February 10, 1951, and they shared the next sixty-five blissful years together. Robyna is a graduate of Port Arthur Thomas Jefferson High School class of 1950. While at Thomas Jefferson, she was a band member, president of the art club, and yearbook illustrator. She loved to learn as is evident by her earning highest honors during her studies at Lamar University. Over the years she obtained her Nursing RN, Bachelors in Fine/Studio Arts, and Masters in Art Education. Robyna found drawing and painting among her favorite activities. Her time spent creating art brought fulfillment, focus, peace and joy to her life. She was a member of the Texas Artists Museum, and she enjoyed any opportunity to paint or sketch. For over 40 years Robyna was an active member and strong pulse of the Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Port Neches, Texas. She was an energetic leader in the Order of the Daughters of the King, a lay religious order for women. She was a devout contributor to the altar guild and was a generous and welcoming servant to all. Robyna was preceded in death by her husband James Prescott, Jr., and her daughter Robin Prescott Wallace. Surviving relatives include her son Kevin Prescott and wife Resa of Frisco, Texas; Kent and Mary Wallace of Port Neches, Texas; brother Harral Robin of Antioch, California, grandson Casey Wallace of Port Neches, Texas; granddaughter Josie Prescott of Frisco, Texas. A gathering of Mrs. Prescott's family and friends will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Friday, July 12, 2019, at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, 2425 Nall Street, Port Neches, Texas. Her funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 13, 2016, at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, with burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Levingston Funeral Home in Groves. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Robyna Prescott to Holy Trinity Episcopal Church for the Good News Children's Camp.
