Rockey Wade Robinette
Rockey Robinette, 59, of Beaumont, Texas, passed away on Thursday, March 2, 2023, at Harbor Hospice
in Beaumont.
Service will be held on March 20, 2023 at 4 o'clock at Ecclesia Church at, 5900 9th Ave, Port Arthur, TX
77642. Officiating will be done by Pastor Carlos Torres.
Rockey was born in Anchorage, Alaska, on August 20, 1963, to Leon Daniel Robinette and Mary Ophelia
Robinette. He retired as a Correctional Officer for the Federal Bureau of Prisons after working there for
20 years. Rockey also served in the United States Army for 10 years, being stationed in Germany,
Panama, and Bosnia. From his childhood to when he retired, Rockey was a lifelong fan of the Dallas
Cowboys. Rockey had a passion for life and the great outdoors. In the summer Rockey would be in the
kitchen mixing up his own hummingbird nectar and planning the next time to cut the grass. If Rockey was
not worried about his yard or the creatures in it, he would be fishing in the ocean. Rockey also had a
distinguished taste for food, he would create his own ghost pepper hot sauce, custom seasonings, and even brew his own beer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Danny Robinette, and John Robinette.
He is survived by his loving wife of twenty-eight years, Raquel Robinette of Beaumont, TX; his daughter,
Rachel Robinette of Beaumont, TX; his son, Ryan Robinette of Beaumont, TX; his sisters, Darlene
Shepherd of Bastrop, TX; Sherrie Wilson and husband Nick of Bastrop, TX; and Nancy Kitchen and
husband Bill of Oklahoma City, OK; and his brother, Rob Robinette and wife Brenda of Chuckey, TN.
