Roger Orie Frederick, 86, of Port Neches, Texas passed away November 28, 2019. He was born in China, Texas to Charlie Frederick and Alice Williams Frederick. Roger retired from IBEW Local 479 after working for 40 years as an electrician. He served his country proudly in the U. S. Army and was a member of the Dowlen Road Church of Christ Church. Roger enjoyed fishing, crabbing, woodworking and being with his family and friends.

Those left to cherish Roger’s memory are his wife of 63 years, Lena Norsworthy Frederick of Port Neches; his daughter, Cheryl Frederick Leon and her husband, Ricky of Beach City; his son, Patrick Frederick and his wife, Fran LaRocca-Frederick of Lumberton; his brother, Bobby Frederick; his grandchildren, Jonathan Leon, Ryan Wheeler and his wife Jessica, Alyssa LaRocca, and Austin Frederick; and his great-grandchildren, Ava Klue and Kinsley Wheeler. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Cecil Frederick.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at Melancon’s Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 3, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m., Mr. Max Dawson and Mr. David Banning officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park.
