Roland “Corkie” Haywood Bean, 81, of Nederland, Texas passed away Wednesday, September 30, 2020. Corkie was born June 10, 1939 in Port Arthur, Texas to John and Elvie Bean. He retired from Gulfco Machine & Supply as a machinist. Corkie was passionate about his family and loved the Lord. He enjoyed watching high school football and the Astros play. Corkie is preceded in death by his parents, John L. Bean and Elvie Swearingon Bean; brothers, Kenneth Bean, Lloyd Bean, Lyndon Bean, Elic Bean and James Bean; sisters, Joann Bean Carter and Jennie Bean Blanchard.
