Rolland Allen

Rolland Craig Allen, a beloved father, brother, and friend, passed away on April 24, 2025, in Port Neches, Texas, at the age of 65. Born on December 17, 1959, in Port Arthur, Texas, Rolland was well known for his tenacity and resourcefulness, qualities that he exemplified throughout both his personal life and career as an Insulator in Local #22.

During his lifetime, Rolland was affectionately described as a "Jack of all trades." He possessed a passion for working, especially in remodeling and creating new things, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Rolland loved and lived for his daughter, Jenny Allen of Port Neches, forging a special bond that was enriched by his joyful companionship with his two grand-dogs, Pepper and Xena.  His caretaker and Jenny's mother, Tami VanLuven, will always hold a special place in the hearts of those that knew him.

Rolland is survived by his devoted daughter, Jenny Allen; his sister, Nancy Belanger; and brother-in-law, Dale DeWitt. He cherished his nieces, Ashley Owens and her husband, Marc, and Barbara DeWitt, along with other extended family members and friends who admired his spirited personality and unwavering dedication to loved ones.

Rolland is preceded in death by his parents, Rolland Allen and Katherine Desgrange , and his sisters, Patricia DeWitt and Barbara Allen. Their memories remain with all who knew and loved him.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the visitation and memorial service to be held at 1605 Avenue H, Nederland, TX 77627, on May 3, 2025. The visitation will commence at 4:00 PM, followed by a memorial service at 5:00 PM.

As we remember Rolland Craig Allen, let us celebrate his remarkable spirit, his love for his family, and the countless memories he created in his lifetime. He will be profoundly missed but never forgotten.
