Ronnie Cessac, 65, of Nederland, passed away February 25, 2016. He was born November 6, 1950, in Port Arthur, TX to the late Joseph Norris Cessac and Irma Erline McCoy Cessac, and was a lifelong resident of Nederland.
Ronnie was retired from Exxon Mobil as an electrician with 36 years of service. He served his country in the U.S. Army Reserves. Ronnie is a past member of NISD Board of Trustees, and on the board of the Mobil Oil Credit Union. He was a member of the Houston Chapter TASO Football Official’s Association and the Southland Conference, also a Track and Field Official Starter. Ronnie was a proud and faithful giver of Plasma that saved many lives. Ronnie was a lifelong member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Nederland where he served on the Parish Council, Eucharistic Minister, and served on the Core Team with ACTS.
Ronnie is survived by his wife of 45 years, Sue Hudnall Cessac; daughters, Melissa Cessac of San Antonio, Kim Hawkins and husband, Reagan of Port Neches; son, Scott Cessac and husband, Craig Parsons of Dallas; brother, Michael Cessac and wife, Deborah of Beaumont; grandchildren Isabelle and Joseph Hawkins of Port Neches; sister-in-law, Jan Theriot and husband, Randy of LaBelle; his aunt, Vernice Massey of Nederland; uncle, George McCoy and wife, Carol of Austin; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and lifelong friends. In addition to his parents, Joseph Norris Cessac and Irma Erline McCoy Cessac, Ronnie is preceded in death by his father and mother-in-law, Oscar and Tula Hudnall; his grandparents, Elia H. Cessac and Maida McCoy and his great niece and nephew, Crew and Gentry Theriot.
A gathering of family and friends will be Monday, February 29, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a rosary at 4:30 p.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Nederland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Nederland, with Father John Hughes officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens of Jefferson County in Nederland.
