Ronald Gene Freeman, 81, of Kirbyville passed away Wednesday, February 23, 2022. Ronald was born on February 4, 1941, in Beaumont, Texas to the late L.I. and Vada Freeman. He was a true Bible student and could recite from memory many Bible passages and lived his life as a good Christian man. He is a member of the Trout Creek Baptist Church Men’s Prayer Team and the Hope Works Ministries providing food to the area needy people. Ronald was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to many. He loved to travel. Ronald was a purchasing supervisor at Texaco Marine for 17 years. He leaves behind his wife Linda Freeman, son David Freeman and his wife Cindy, daughters Stacey Hill and her husband Joey, Tania Drago and her husband Lawrence. 6 grandchildren, Stepchildren Earnest Roberts and wife Joy, Steven Roberts and wife Arlene, Michael Roberts and wife Rebecca, Hollie Grimes and husband Troy, 7 step grandchildren and 7 step great grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by all. A celebration of life for Ronald will be held at Melancon’s Funeral Home Chapel with visitation to begin at 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM Saturday February 26th with service proclaimed by Rev. Randy Fults of Trout Creek Baptist Church and Rev. Michael Roberts to begin at 2:00, burial will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery Nederland, Texas under direction of Melancon’s Funeral Home Nederland. In lieu of flowers please send memorial contributions to Trout Creek Baptist Church in honor of Ronald.
