Ronald James Matte, 75, of Beaumont, Texas formerly of Bridge City passed away January 28, 2014 at Oak Grove Nursing Home in Groves. He was born in Nederland, Texas on November 7, 1938 to the late Burnest and Jeanne Bodin Matte.

Funeral services will be held at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland on Friday, January 31, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. with Father Kevin Badeaux officiating. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens of Jefferson County in Nederland. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, January 30, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home with a rosary being recited at 6:30 p.m.

Ronald is preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, and 2 sisters. He is survived by his daughters, Rana Miller of Bridge City, Misty Matte of The Woodlands, and Tricha Stilley of The Woodlands; his son, Roddy “Tiger” Matte of Beaumont; and grandchildren, Taylor Miller, Maegan Fontenot, Sidney Stilley, River Matte, Peyton Miller, and Logan Stilley.
