Ronald Lee Sticker, 84, of Nederland passed away on Thursday, October 27, 2016. Ronald was born in Nederland, on May 2, 1932. He is the son of the late A. O. Sticker and Abi Amanda Arnold Sticker. Ronald was in the United States Naval Reserve. He was a native of Nederland and retired in 1988 from Unocal after 36 years of service. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 5145, past president of Nederland Chamber of Commerce.
Those left to cherish Ronald’s memory are his loving wife of 65 years, Bessie Dupuis Sticker of Nederland; sons, Ronald Wayne Sticker of Vidor, Michael Craig Sticker of Lumberton and Walter Neal Sticker and wife, Carol Lynn of Beaumont; daughter, Karen Sue Buckner of Beaumont; brothers, Milton D. Sticker of Silsbee and Maurice M. Sticker of Port Acres; his grandchildren, Billy Sticker, Clint Sticker, Cade Buckner, Courtney L. Overall, Matthew C. Sticker, Tyler M. Sticker, Blake Sticker, Brett Sticker, Katelyn Sticker; 8 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents.
There will be a gathering of family and friends on Sunday, October 30, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland. A funeral mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, October 31, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Nederland with the interment at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches.
