Coach Stump was my greatest mentor and encourager in High School. He made sure I went to class and spent extra hours with me at track practice. In fact, he contacted a number of college coaches about me and made sure I had a scholarship to go to college. Probably my greatest memory though was at an awards assembly when I had no parent to sit with like the other athletes. Coach saw that and came and sat with me. When I got my award he said, "Hailey, you're going to do well. I believe in you." And with much of the credit to him and God,I did do well! One day I will tell him...when we meet again!

Aunt Sally, I have warm memories of you, Uncle Ronnie and all of the boys when we all lived in Bartlesville. I especially remember his wonderful, warm smile and the twinkle in his eyes. He was so full of fun and life. I know my dad enjoyed his enthusiasm as a coach and his desire to be the best coach he could be. I know the hurt you must be enduring as well as the boys. Please know you are all in my thoughts and prayers. Nancy

I am so grateful he is free to be his truest self again without all the pain and confusion. I bet he and Mike and Dad are having a party. Love to all of you. I know how this hurts. And Aunt Sally, thank you for all you did for him over decades. I know it wasn't always easy. Sorry I couldn't be there.
