Ronnie Bennett, 67, of Nederland passed away Tuesday August 28, 2018. Ronnie was born January 6, 1951 in Beaumont to the late Raymond and Mildred Bennett. He retired as a operator with Western Refinery in El Paso, Texas and served his country in the U.S. Marines during the Vietnam War.

Ronnie is survived by his wife, Jane Bennett of Nederland; his daughters, Dana Peavey and her husband, Robert of Lumberton and Kelly Garcia and her husband, Alan of Fort Sill, OK; his sons, Jesse Bennett and his wife, Annette of El Paso and Justin Bennett of Beaumont; his step-son, Bryon Peveto of Woodville; his sister, Lynell Gallier of Orangefield; his brother, Lanny Ray Bennett and his wife, Donna of Nederland. Also his grandchildren, Kaitlin and Marlie Peavey, Anthony, Audrey, Waylon, Madison, Adalynn and Amber Bennett, and Hailey, Hannah, Bennett Garcia.

A gathering of the family and friends will be from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 3, 2018 with his service to start at 11:00 a.m. at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland with Rev. Jordan Rogers officiating. His graveside service will be at the Colmesneil Cemetery in Colmesneil, Texas at 3:00 p.m. on Monday.
