I just learned of Ronnie's death recently. I remember the great times we had with Paul Thorp, James May,Tom Bricker,James Chamblee and Kerwin Bennitt, and Mike Johnson. One picture stands out in my mind. Four of us sitting on a couch proudly showing our "beer guts" back in the early 70s. My wife Nita died in July of 2000. We were married for 48 years.Cheryl, if you read this, I know you loss.

I remember one of the first of the Class of '66 reunions I attended with my husband, Larry Joe Williamson (also class of '66), Ronnie was one of the first ones to come up and greet us with a great big ol' bear hug and asking how we were doing and expressing his happiness to see us. I never met a friendlier, more lovable man and was proud to call him a friend. My condolences to his family and friends as I know his loss is such a sad one indeed. He did so much for his community - not because he had to but because he wanted too. RIP, Ronnie. You will be sorely missed.

My heart goes out to Ronnie's whole family. Ronnie was one of those men who touched your heart in such a way that you could not possibly ever forget them, and you were made a better person due to his influence. How many women my age could ever forget the encouragement we got from him as we fought to become the best softball players - and young ladies - we could be? What he taught us in softball would carry on to so many areas in our lives. I'm so thankful to have spent time with Ronnie in this life - he was a beautiful soul and I'm grateful to have known him. I'm so glad I got to see him one last time at Easter. My prayers are with your whole family, Sharon and Misti. ~Toni Jeanis McDonald
