Rose Lee England

1924 ∼ 2016

Rose Lee England, 91, of Port Acres, Texas, passed away April 18, 2016. She was born July 2, 1924, in Port Arthur, Texas to the late James A. Trahan and Nora Fawvor Trahan.

Rose loved dancing on Friday nights at the K. C. Hall in Port Acres and she also enjoyed going to the Casino. Her door was always open to her nieces and nephews.

She is survived by her son, Darrell England and wife, Kristie of Nederland, TX; grandchildren, Tommy England and Hailee England; great-grandchild, Rylee Brewer; a host of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Rose is preceded in death by her husband, Clarence E. England; son, Ronnie England and four sisters.

A gathering of family and friends will be Thursday, April 21, 2016 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Melancon’s Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 22, 2016 at Melancon’s Funeral Home with Rev. John Jones officiating. Interment to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. John Lutheran Church~2955 S. Major Dr.~Beaumont, TX 77707, in honor of Rose Lee England.
