Rose Fuselier, 73, of Port Acres, Texas passed away April 18, 2013. She was born in Seminole, Oklahoma on August 12, 1939 to the late Willie and Mary Lou McAllum. She was formerly a nurses aid at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont and various other jobs, and also an active member of Calvary Baptist Church in Port Acres.A funeral service will be held at Melancons Funeral Home in Nederland on Sunday, April 21, 2013 at 2:00 p.m., Rev. Jeff Bell officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2013 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.Rose is preceded in death by her parents sisters, Margie Cassidy and Dorothy Jean Whitman and brothers, William McAllum, Robert Henry McAllum, John Edward McAllum, and Thomas lee McAllum. She is survived by her husband, Allen Roy Fuselier sons, David Waldrop and wife, Debby of Sammamish, WA and Dennis Waldrop and wife, Maggie of St. Paul, MN grandchildren, Erin Yaap and husband, Erik, April Waldrop, Summer Crew, Amber Waldrop, Jesse Waldrop, and Rosemary Waldrop greatgrandchildren, Kathryn and Jacob Yaap, and Colum and Cruze Waldrop brother Richard McAllum and wife, Beverly of Burleson, TX sisterinlaw, Jean McAllum of Fort Worth and numerous nieces and nephews.The family would like to thank the staff of Odyssey Hospice and Dr. John Fowler for care given to Mrs. Fuselier at her time of need.Memorial contributions can be made to the Buckners Childrens Home in Beaumont.
