Rose Elaine Pierce

Rose Elaine Pierce, 83, of Texarkana, Arkansas formerly of Port Acres, Texas passed away on Saturday, August 19, 2023 in Texarkana. Rose was born in Groesbeck, Texas on October 7, 1939 to the late, Harvey Lee Johnson and Nellie L. Davis Johnson.
Rose worked in her early years for First National Bank and most recently for the United Board of Missions. She loved clothes and jewelry but especially her rings. She enjoyed dancing, was always up for a trip to the casino or a good game of cards and was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys.
Those left to cherish Rose’s memory include her daughter, Renee Altman and her husband, Lewis of Texarkana, Arkansas; sons, Paul Pierce, Jr. and his wife, Isa of Houston, Texas, and Tim Pierce and his wife, Charmayne of Nederland, Texas; brother, N.G. Johnson and his wife, Lelia of Port Neches, Texas; grandchildren, Dillion Barlow and his wife, Katherine, Jennifer Pierce, Sara Pierce and Alisa Pierce; nephew, Jeff Johnson; and her niece, Angie Johnson.
Rose is preceded in death by her loving husband of 43 years, Paul E. Pierce, Sr. and her parents, Harvey Lee Johnson and Nellie L. Davis Johnson.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Wednesday afternoon, August 23, 2023 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. with the funeral service to begin at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens of Jefferson County in Nederland, Texas.
