Rose Marie Lapoint Reese, 80, of Groves, Texas passed away Sunday, June 28, 2020 at her residence surrounded by her family. Rose was born October 9, 1939 in Beaumont, Texas to Harris Lapoint and Lovenia Theriot Lapoint. She was a lifelong area resident and member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Port Neches. Rose retired after 33 years of service from PNGISD as a custodian. She was also a member of St. Elizabeth Altar Society. Rose was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John C. Reese; and sister, Volna Casteel. Survivors include her daughters, Gina Durham and husband Frank, and Terri Riley all of Groves; grandchildren, Daniel Durham and wife Jessica, and Lauren Durham; and great-grandson, Danny Durham. A visitation for family and friends will be Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. rosary. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, July 2, 2020 at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Port Neches with Reverend Shane Baxter officiating.
