Roy Everette Finley, 80, of Nederland, Texas passed away Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston, Texas. Everette was born August 21, 1935 in Port Arthur, Texas to Roy Raymond Finley and Bessie Mae Reeves Finley. He was a lifelong resident of this area and a Nederland resident since 1992. Everette was the owner of Triangle Pools in Nederland for 29 years and retired from Texaco Port Arthur with 30 years of service. He was a member of Memorial Baptist Church Port Arthur, Port Arthur Masonic Lodge # 1264 and the Scottish Rite Galveston. He served his country in the National Guard. Everette loved God, his family, friends, and precious animals with all of his heart. Everyone he met was drawn in by his kind, gentle nature and warm personality. He was an amazing father and husband and led a life that provided a wonderful role model for his daughters and grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Levingston Funeral Home in Port Neches with Dr. Rick Erwin officiating. Entombment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park. Visitation for family and friends will be from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Monday, November 23, 2015 at the funeral home. Everette was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife Martha of 45 years, and his son-in-law, Dale Lumbley. Surviving relatives include his wife, Carolyn Hanley Finley of Nederland, Texas; daughters, Delouise Lumbley of Katy, Texas; Lori Cummings and husband Ken of Fulshear, Texas; step-daughter, Carla Vaughn of Nome, Texas; step-son, Clay Sterling and wife Kathy of Hitchcock, Texas; sisters, Helen Howard and husband Raymond of Groves, Texas; Betty Jones of Orange, Texas; brother, Glenn Finley and wife Shirley of Lumberton, Texas; grandchildren, Jonathan Lumbley, Kristi Archer and husband Mark, Ashley DeRon and husband Nathan; step-grandchildren, Grayson Sterling, Ryleigh Sterling, Cayce Ames and husband Glenn, Kalie Mazzola and husband Anthony; great grandchild, Greyson Archer; step-great grandchildren, Brantley Ames and Teal Mazzola.

Uncle Everette was a gentle, kind man, like all of the Finley Men... He loved his girls, and grand children.. He also loved Aunt Martha...will miss him, but will see him in heaven, that is our promise.
