Roy G. Frederick, 63, of Groves passed away February 10, 2011 at St. Mary Hospital. He was born in Port Arthur, Texas on March 12, 1947 to Elsie Gray Frederick and Angelus Frederick. He worked at Texaco in Port Arthur as a pipefitter until 1984. He then went to work at Mobil BCSP (Exxon Mobil) in Field Logistics and Operations until medical retirement in 2007. He enjoyed fishing and going on cruises. He was preceded in death by his father, Angelus Frederick; brother-in-law, Greg Stein and first wife, Colene Goodman Frederick. Survivors include his wife, Gloria Frederick; mother, Elsie Frederick; sons, CW3 James Q. Frederick and wife, Kerrie of Fort Hood, Aaron Frederick of Groves, and Scott Frederick of Nederland; daughter, Sabrina Gallagher of Fannett; six grandchildren, Brianna, Geordin and Aleyah Frederick, Alex and Christopher Gallagher, and Sam Summers; great-granddaughter, Kamerlie Gallagher; sisters, Janet Stein of Groves, Karla Abshire and husband, Rodney of Raceland, LA, Andrea Lide and husband, Al of Canton, TX, Gilda Mallet and husband, Donald of Jennings, LA; brother, Charles Frederick of Groves; numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and cousins. Services will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, February 14, 2011 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves with Dr. Rick Erwin officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday evening from 5:00p.m.-8:00p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Diabetes Association or charity of choice.
