Roy Lester Greer, 90, of Port Neches, Texas passed away March 17, 2011 at Cypress Glen East Nursing Home in Port Arthur, Texas. He was born in Woodville, Texas on October 26, 1920 to the late Henry Francis and Lela Tucker Greer. He served his country during World War II with the Merchant Marines.A gathering of family and friends will be held Sunday, March 20, 2011 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Melancon39s Funeral Home, 1605 Avenue H in Nederland. Funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 21, 2011 at the funeral home, Rev. A. A. Callaway, Rev. Mark Humble, and Rev. David Plank officiating.
