Royce C. Rothmann

Royce C. Rothmann, 89, of Port Arthur, Texas passed away Friday, January 4, 2013 at Corpus Christi Medical Center. He was born on November 29, 1923 in Port Arthur, Texas to Carl and Bertha Giese Rothmann. Royce was a lifelong resident of Port Arthur and member of the United Methodist Temple. He was a U.S. veteran serving in the Air Force during World War II. He worked in the Labor Relations Department of Chevron and retired after 40 years of service. Royce loved to garden and fish. He was also a great craftsman and enjoyed making things from wood and metal. He especially loved building purple martin houses. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, January 7, 2013 at the United Methodist Temple in Port Arthur with Reverend Jesse Brannen officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches. A visitation for family and friends will be Sunday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves. Royce was preceded in death by his parents and his twin sisters, Flora Kunze and Glora Weber. He is survived by his wife, Delores Rothmann of Port Arthur, daughter, Patti Ewing and husband, Mike of Corpus Christi, son, Michael Rothmann of Port Lavaca, and six grandchildren, Garrett Ewing, Grant Ewing, Kelli Rothmann, Kristi Rothmann, Karla Rothmann, and Katelyn Rothmann, and two great grandchildren, Jackson and Crosby Ewing.
