Ruby Weber Borne, 97, of Groves, passed away Saturday, June 16, 2018. Ruby was born November 15, 1920 in Lafayette, Louisiana to the late Numa J. Weber and Emerite Dugas Weber. Ruby was a homemaker taking care of her late husband, Gerald J. Borne and her children, Michael Borne and his wife Carolyn of Prosper, Texas, Susan Midgette and her late husband Gervis of Garland, Texas, Nancy Rachal and her husband Michael of Port Neches, and James Borne and his wife Ana of Austin. She is also survived by her brother, Donald Weber and his wife Dorothy of Longview; Her eight grandchildren, John Midgette, Andy Midgette, Michele Garcia, Amy Lueth, Lori Rachal, Anthony Borne, Michael Borne, and Eva Schmidt and ten great grandchildren.
A gathering of the family and friends will be Tuesday, June 19, 2018 from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. with her funeral service to begin at 2:00 p.m. at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves.
