Ruby Ann Huckaby

Ruby Ann Huckaby, 84, of Port Neches, Texas passed away December 23, 2019. She was born in Port Acres, Texas on December 7, 1935 to the late Pascal Nicholas Ledet and Leonie Maturin Ledet. Ruby was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Port Neches where she served on the Altar Society for many years. Ruby loved to sew and play cards. She loved to travel and go camping.
Those left to cherish Ruby’s memory are her daughter, Janice Huckaby Baillie and her husband, Larry of Bonaire; her sons, Nick Huckaby and his wife, Lynn of Nederland and Carl Huckaby and his wife, Jeanine of The Woodlands; her brother, Roland Ledet; her sister, Ruth Licatino; her grandchildren, Misty Higgins, Charlie Huckaby, Tyler Ishee, Lauren Hopper and her husband BJ,. Austin Ishee, and Nathan Huckaby; and her great-grandchildren, Taylor Tatum and her husband Harrison, Jaycee Collins, Slade Huckaby, and Ava Huckaby. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Charles Huckaby, and her daughter Karen Ishee.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland on Thursday, January 2, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with a Rosary being recited at 9:30 a.m. followed by the funeral service. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park.
