Ruby Nell Kelsey, 95, of Groves, Texas, passed away on Monday, January 8, 2024, at Oak Grove Nursing Home in Groves.
A Graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Groves.
Ruby was born in Selma, Alabama, on May 11, 1928, to her loving parents William and Beulah Wallace.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of fifty-seven years, Robert West Kelsey; son-in-law, James Latiolais; daughter: Mary Elaine Langhoff, and seven siblings.
Ruby will forever be remembered for her unwavering love and devotion to her family. She leaves behind a legacy that will be cherished by all who knew her. Her memory lives on through her daughter, Connice Ann Latiolais of Groves, TX. Ruby was a proud grandmother to nine grandchildren: Carlie Smith, Dawn Nelson, Brandy Galloway, Amber Billeaud, Erin White, Kody Latiolais, Bradley Langhoff, Robert Langhoff, and Kendyl Warren. Her seventeen great-grandchildren had a special place in her heart: Kelsey Broussard, Taylor Smith, Halley Smith, Hannah Setzer, Dane Nelson, Blake Nelson, Kaylee Galloway, Devin Galloway, Cade Billeaud, Joey Latiolais, Shay Latiolais, Carolyn Langhoff, Kali Warren, Maya Warren, Sarah Carter, Erika Sealock, and Natalie Langhoff. She had the rare experience of having lived to an age to know eight great-great-grandchildren as well. Ruby also leaves behind her son-in-law Joel Langhoff.
Ruby will be dearly missed but will forever live on in the hearts and memories of those who loved her.
