Sis. Ruth was a loving person who loved her family with every fiber of her being. I met Sis Broussard in 1990. We attended the same church in Beaumont, And this is how I met her family. She visited my house weekly to get her hair combed. Every week we always had plenty to talk about! Her family was at the height of every conversation. She dearly loved to talk about her children.. The closeness that I felt from Sis. Broussard while speaking of her family was unmeasurable. She was so very proud of them. To her family I say that Sis Broussards love and prayers always carried them through. Debbie and David, the strength that you feel as you give her back to God is because of the prayers of your loving mother. Days and weeks down the road her prayers will carry you through! Stay strong as she would want you do. Prayer does not go unnoticed. God heard her every prayer. So draw strength from the pool of prayers that your dear mother prayed for both of you and for the grandchildren. My heart is saddened for her leaving this life;but her new home is what she prepared for. Shes waiting and watching for that great reunion one day soon. Take courage, I love you all and my condolence and prayers are with you. Sending love Sis Rhonda Cormier

The Facts About Ruth Broussard: God blessed her with a beautiful spirit filled with joy and compassion. She was a friend of my mother, Peggy Comalander, at the Apostolic Church of Beaumont under Pastor Marvin L. Cole. This is where I met her son John "David" Broussard and Daughter Debbie Broussad Spiris with her daughter - Christi Rogers we all became instant friends as I was blessed by Sister Ruth and her beloved John Broussard. Much later in life was introduced to her daughter Linda McAdams of the Abundant Life Sanctuary and son Jimmy Don Perritt. My greatest memory is the light in Sister Ruth's eyes and my how it showed such expression and her delightful laugh! She always showed me such love and kindness as she would hold my hands in hers and tell me stories. She loved me and would always thank me for visiting. I'm not sure she fully understood that She was my blessing each time I was exposed to her love and support. For her family: Psalms 42:8 Yet the Lord will command his loving kindness in the daytime, and in the night his song shall be with me, and my prayer unto the God of my life. Dear family and friends please allow God to shower you with his love, tenderness and kindness all the days of your life and when you lay your weary heads on your pillow at night listen for his song as he gently wraps you in his lullaby. Our saddest day in saying goodbye to the flesh of our greatest gifts this exact experience is shared with God himself. While we cry for Sister Ruth's touch... she rejoices, sings and dances before the Lord without pain or suffering and her soul flourishes - witnessing beauty we have yet to barely imagine. I must tell all About her son, David, he dedication and sacrifice his entire adult life... selflessly and without regret. He performed a daily routine bathing his mother, fixing her baby soft white hair, shopping for her pretty clothes at her request, preparing each meal with love, cleaning the house, doing laundry while performing extensive detailed medical care and medication distribution while he would deny his own physical health being diagnosed disabled. You always touched my heart with your love. I would also like to call special attention to Debbie Broussard Spiris for helping David Broussard with breaks by having Sister Broussard stay in her home for days at a time so he could try and physically heal himself with rest while she herself battled through excessive pain and repeated surgeries. Yet they both put aside physical pain to help each other with love their mother had shown as an example to follow. I applaud the rest of her family too as they lived their own lives with spouses and children eventually bringing grandchildren to bless Sister Ruth with and whom she treasured each and everyone. God Bless You All during this difficult time.
