Ruth Denning Priddy, 97, of Port Arthur, Texas died Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at the Port Arthur Community Home. She was known to all her grandchildren and great grandchildren as "Meme". Ruth was born in Greenville, Georgia on January 5, 1914 and was raised in the Florida Methodist Children's Home in Enterprise, Florida. She had lived in this area for 62 years and was a member of The First United Methodist Church of Groves and the Groves Eastern Star, Chapter 953. She was a retired seamstress from the Home Laundry in Port Arthur. Funeral services will be Saturday, July 23, 2011 at 12:00 noon at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves with Judge Morris McCall and Reverend Beverly Tune officiating. A visitation for family and friends will be Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert E. Priddy. Ruth is survived by her children, Virginia Rotsch and husband, Walter of Groves, Rowland Priddy and wife, Jackie of Woodville, and John Priddy of Pueblo, Colorado; her grandchildren, Jennifer and Jeffrey Hembree of Plano, Troy and Amy Priddy of Lumberton, Paul and Kerri Rotsch of Crestview, Florida, and Christopher and Tamara Rotsch of Houston; great grandchildren, Jacob and Jackson Hembree, Baylee, Mollee, and Ethan Priddy, Brittany and Elizabeth Martinez, Elise, Moses and Israel Rotsch; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by a very special care giver and best friend, Lucille Miles and another special caregiver, Yvonne Edwards. A special thanks to Paula, Pat, Annette and all of the workers at the Port Arthur Community Retirement Home for all the love, care and support through the years and to Texas Home Health Hospice and Jamie. Aunt Ruth was one of my favorite aunts. Loved her and the family very much. I will always have very fond memories of all our visits and times spent together. They just don't make them like Aunt Ruth amd my mom, Aunt Louise to many of you!

Dear Jackie, Rowland, Virginia, Walter and Family, We want to express our love and sympathy to you all in the death of your beautiful mother and Me Me!
