     Samuel Joseph Lapoint, infant son of Dillon and Catherine Lapoint passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2024 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, Texas.

     Samuel is survived by his loving parents, Dillon and Catherine Lapoint of Nederland, Texas; his big sister, Ella Grace Lapoint of Nederland; his grandparents, Leonard and Jeanie Lapoint of Nederland, and Alan and Donna Bihm of Nederland; also surviving Samuel are his Godparents, Kaeden Carter of Magnolia, Texas and Kassidy Litchfield of Nederland as well as a host of aunts, uncles and other extended family.

     Samuel is preceded in death by his great-grandparents and his cousin, Trevor Lee Chesson.

     In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made in Samuel's memory to the Trisomy 18 Foundation. Your donation helps bring us closer to creating a world where Trisomy 18 is a preventable and treatable condition and where all parents have access to compassionate, knowledgeable care that respects the humanity of their children.      A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Nederland on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. with Father John Hughes, Celebrant. A private graveside service will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches, Texas.
