Sandra Cooley-Gomez

Sandra CooleyGomez, 58, of Groves passed away on September 30, 2011 at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont. She was born on November 1, 1952 in Port Arthur to Gene Cooley and Mary Cariker and was a lifelong area resident. Sandra is survived by her husband, David Gomez of Groves parents, Mary and Gene Cooley of Carthage daughter, Stephanie McDanielPipes of Nederland sons, Derek McDaniel of Nederland and Stephen Gomez and wife Megan of Nederland stepson David Gomez of Bridge City brother, Jeff Cooley and wife Sandra of Groves. She is also survived by grandchildren: Caitlin McDaniel, Christan Pipes, Temperance Gomez and Dawson Gomez. Sandra is preceded in death by her sister, Debbie Cooley Lavergne. Visitation will be 5:00 7:00 p.m. Friday, October 14, 2011 at Melancon39s Funeral Home, 1605 Avenue H, Nederland. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. in Melancon39s chapel. Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 15, 2011 at Long Branch Cemetery near Carthage, Texas. A gathering of family and friends will be at Carthage Missionary Baptist Church in Carthage, Texas afterwards.
