Sandra Lorene Cooper, 71, of Groves, Texas passed away Sunday, November 20, 2011 at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas. Sandra was born June 12, 1940 in East Chicago, Indiana to Elza Doan and Pauline Lewis Doan. She was a homemaker and resident of Groves for 31 years. She was also member of First Christian Church of Port Arthur. She was preceded in death by her sister, Nina Massa. Survivors include her husband, Linwood "Jim" Cooper of Groves, TX; two sons, Steven Paul Cooper and wife, Karen of Humble, TX, James Linn Cooper and wife, Tracy of Kingwood, TX; two sisters, Darlene Stempkowski and husband, Ron of Remington, IN, Ramona Fissinger and husband, Michael of Shererville, IN; three grandchildren, Shannon Marie Wilson and husband, David, Justin Steven Cooper, Amanda Christine Cooper; and great-grandchild, Kaleb Michael Wilson. A Memorial Service will be at 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves with Reverend Pat Cammarata officiating. A visitation for family and friends will be Wednesday from 2:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m. Memorial contributions in memory of Sandra may be made to the charity of choice.
