Met Sandy when he was about 10 years old. He participated in the activities of the YMCA in Port Arthur and I was the secretary there. I became attached to the kids who went to the Y almost every day. After the YMCA burned down, I lost track of the kids. After 76 years, out of the blue I heard from him! Such a surprise! He had found my name on line. He was living in Florida. After marrying Donna they moved here and I was able to meet Donna and we went to lunch on several occasions. He and Donna were such a perfect couple. I know she is going to miss him terribly. Rest In Peace, Sandy, we love you! <3

My family has known Sandy for many years as he umpired the baseball games in the area when they were in Little League in Nederland. Sandy was always good to the kids and parents. We will miss you Sandy on Facebook and in Midcounty. May God bless and comfort your family.

Just always Loved the bantering that my mother and I would have with Sandy. The fact that he loved hot, spicy, food. How we ended up running into him and Donna at a Lionel Richie concert sitting almost next to each other and the 2 of them dancing to "Lady" and when the song finished everyone around them saying Awe and Applauding he and Donna. I will never forget that and the Love they had for each other.
